Condensation between window panes
Quick answer: Fog, haze or moisture between the two panes of a double-pane window means the insulated glass unit's seal has failed. No cleaning can reach it, from either side. The fix is replacing the glass unit through a window or glass company. We'll tell you honestly if that's what you have so you don't pay for cleaning that can't help. Call or text 772-243-1234 with a photo.
What a failed seal is
Double-pane (insulated) windows have two sheets of glass sealed around the edges with a spacer and dry air or gas between them. When the seal fails, humid air gets in, condenses on the inner surfaces, and leaves a haze or water droplets you can see but can't touch. Florida humidity and heat cycling make seal failure common on units more than a decade old.
How to confirm it
Clean both sides of the glass. If the haze is still there and you can't feel it from either side, it's between the panes. If the haze feels rough on the outside, it's mineral deposits instead, which we can fix.
What to do
Contact a window or glass company about replacing the insulated glass unit; the frame usually stays. There are companies that drill and vent fogged units, with mixed results. We don't do either, and we won't sell you a cleaning for a fogged unit.
Older sliders
Fogged insulated glass shows up most in sliders installed in the 1990s and 2000s, where the large panels stress the seals with heat cycling. If one panel has fogged, the others are often close behind. A glass company can replace individual insulated units in the existing frame; the door doesn't have to be replaced.

Can you clean fog between window panes?
No. Nobody can; it's sealed inside the unit. The glass unit needs to be replaced.
How do I know if it's a failed seal or hard water?
Hard water spotting feels rough on the outside surface and is worst near sprinklers. A failed seal is a haze you can't touch from either side. Send us a photo and we'll tell you.
Who should I call for a fogged window?
A window or glass replacement company. We're happy to clean the rest of the house while you're sorting it out.
